Anxiety Counseling

You’ve traditionally managed the stressors of life and at times, even thrived on the pressure.

woman stressed and overwhelmed with work and expectations

Sure it’s been difficult but you’ve always worked it out with the help of to-do lists, phone reminders and working hard. You may have found yourself engaging in perfectionistic behaviors to prove you are good enough or may have started isolating yourself to prevent such negative thinking and burdensome feelings.

“Powering-through" your tasks has become the norm and you may even find yourself not being you any more. Instead, you are easily overstimulated, irritable or avoiding tasks because of thinking paralysis.

Feeling anxious is a natural response to help us deal with threats in our environment, however, excessive amounts of anxiety can cause you to lose focus, keep you up at night, have racing thoughts and disrupt your physical body. Overtime, this pattern starts to wear on you and the ability to focus, think creatively and manage your mood becomes increasingly difficult or at worse, completely diminished.

Learn to manage the overwhelming symptoms that influence your thoughts, challenge your decision making and show up as pain in your body.

Constant worry and feeling overwhelmed don’t have to be the norm.
